Q: What should I read up on before the class?

A:  If you are weak on Internet Technologies you may wish to read some online tutorials on IP addressing and Email. Some recommendations are listed below:

Guide to the World Wide Web:
This is an excellent article from Laura Cohen which introduces beginners to the fundamentals of the internet in general. Learn what components make up parts of the internet, with insight into Email, Telnet, newgroups and FTP.

This first part of a 2 part article by Laura Cohen introduces you to the concepts behind the world wide web. Starting with an introduction to exactly what the web is to moving onto how web addresses are made up. ActiveX and browser plugins are also explained indepth.

Q: What is the Attire for training and what should I bring or not bring to class?

A:  The attire is business casual dress. I would recommend that you bring a backup writing instrument and a pad of paper for notes. If you have your own laptop and want to try using it instead of one of the provided workstations, feel free to do so. If you do bring a laptop, understand that the instructor is not responsible for its installation and will provide only minimal tech support.

A:   The first day of training the class will begin at 0830 on 04/15/08.

Q: What is the cancellation policy if I can’t make the class?

A:  CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY:
Cancellations received 10 days prior to class start date are refundable.
Cancellations received prior to the 10 working days before the class start date will be assessed 25% of the student enrollment fee for administrative fee’s. Cancellations received after 10 working days prior to class start date are non refundable, in this situation a substitute student may attend in place of the original student. Please note that if you do not attend the course and you do not cancel, you are still responsible for full payment of the course. Student substitutions may be made at any time.

Q: Where is my Student Transcript?

A:  Login into the student Intranet at http://www.gohtci.com. Click on Student Login at the bottom center of the page - Once you are logged in, select Transcript from the sidebar menu on the left of the screen.

Q: In class I did an exercise but I can’t remember the website we were on?

A:  All the training websites are located in the Resources link on the student intranet. Login into the student Intranet at http://www.gohtci.com. Once you are logged in, select the Resources link from the sidebar menu on the left of the screen.

Q: I am interested in purchasing Hardware and Software, can you help me with this also?

A:  Yes your Course Representative is fully capable of helping in these areas. HTCI offers a full range of Forensic Hardware and Software solutions.
